Frequently asked questions

Does it cost me anything?

Nope. Pact’s drop-off bins are completely free to use — just bring your clean empties and drop them in. There’s nothing to buy and no shipping to pay for.

How does Pact help drive change?

Pact takes hard-to-recycle personal care packaging that would normally be landfilled and breaks it down so it can go back to manufacturers as PCR (post-consumer recycled) material. As more brands and customers ask for PCR, demand grows — creating a real closed loop where packaging gets recycled and reused again and again, instead of being incinerated or buried.

What packaging does True Friend use?

We keep it minimal on purpose: recyclable cardboard shipping boxes and paper padding, paper soap wraps, push-up deodorant tubes, and natural konjac sponges. The easy-to-recycle pieces go in your home bin; the trickier ones (tubes, caps) go to a Pact drop-off bin.

What else are you doing to lower your footprint?

Everything is handcrafted in small batches in the USA, which keeps waste and shipping impact low. We use as little packaging as we can, choose recyclable and compostable materials wherever possible, and keep reviewing our materials for ways to do better. It’s a work in progress — and we’ll keep you posted.
